# Platform moderators

Platform moderators are moderators that are **actual people, Eventication users** registered on the platform. These are your usual co-workers who do the scheduling in the Planning, create accreditations, etc. Most of the time these are people who have access for a longer time than the event itself.

The index of the moderators shows a button that allows you to download a matrix CSV of **all the moderators and their permissions**.

You can **add new moderators** by clicking the button. This opens up a new view that allows you to search the user you want to make a moderator. You can search based on name and email address.

At the bottom of the form (when creating a new moderator), you can set "**Send notification email?**". This will send a notification email to the newly added moderator.

Please remember that **every platform moderators needs to have an account** on Eventication before you can find them.

If the person doesn't have an account yet you can invite them by writing their email address in the user search field. This will bring up a button that allows you to automatically send an invite email.
{% endhint %}

## Permissions on substations

Per substation you can edit the [permissions](/event/general/moderators.md#permissions) a moderator has. This gives you the possibility to really fine-tune who has access to which substation(s). These permissions can be edited in detail:

* Can view substation
* Can edit substation
* Can edit jobs
* Can edit shifts
* Can view private information

## Permissions on lists

**Don't want to give your moderators access to all the lists?** This page allows you to pick and choose where their access begins, and where it starts.
