Kiosks

Let the computers work for you.

Kiosks are tablets that come on a desk stand and run our Eventication app. You can use them to check people in, print wristbands, track time, and more.

Overview

These tablets are mounted on desk stands that your staff can use backstage. Each kiosk has a unique name like KIO101 or KIO123. They're meant to be put in place and stay there during your event.

Flows

Kiosks have different flows that you can choose from. Each flow has a different set of features and settings. You can edit flows during the event. Our kiosks scan for updates every 30 seconds, so you don't need to worry about updating the app.

Attendee Check-In/Out

Check people in or out by scanning their tickets or wristbands. You can also:

Wristband Printing

Print wristbands right from the kiosk when people arrive. Connect a wristband printer to the kiosk and print wristbands for people as they check in

Time Tracking

Staff and volunteers can start and stop their time tracks on the kiosks.

Connectivity

  • Wi-Fi: Main way the kiosk connects to sync data

  • 4G: Available as a backup if Wi-Fi isn't working

  • Power: Needs to be plugged into a power socket

Hardware Features

  • Touch screen: Easy to use interface

  • Desk stand: Comes mounted on a desk stand, meant to stay in one place

  • Indoor use only: Must be used indoors or in a sheltered area, not outside

Software

  • Auto updates: Kiosks can update themselves when new versions are available

  • Status monitoring: Kiosks send regular updates so you know they're online, working and where they are

Device Placement

  • Put kiosks where there's a lot of traffic

  • Make sure they have good Wi-Fi or 4G signal

  • They must be indoors or in a sheltered area (not outside)

  • Make sure there's a power socket nearby

  • Put them at a height that's comfortable for staff to use

  • Once you place them, best to leave them there for the duration of the event
