Wristband printers

Frequently Asked Questions

How to connect the printer

Our printers need to have a standard electrical outlet and an internet cable connection (RJ45). It is very important that the internet access is free and unobstructed, so no VPN configurations.

Once connected, the display of the black case below the printer will show an IP address. This means the printer is connected to the internet.

There is a small orange light on the printer but it functions normally

This is the printer indicating there are less than 25 wristbands left in the cartridge.

The display says No internet connection

Our printers need free internet access. This means no VPN connection or crazy firewall rules. They need to be able to send and receive commands via WebSockets.

The printers ping google.com every 30 seconds to check if they are connected to the internet.

If you are absolutely sure the internet connection is not the problem, contact your Eventication account manager. We'll do some tests from our end.

The display says Printing, but no wristband is printed

The black box below the printer and the printer both have a 3 digit number on them. Make sure these digits are exactly the same for the setup to work. Box 123 can not print on printer 134.

If no cartridge or an empty cartridge is inserted, the printer will ignore the print job.

The cables in the back of the printer have to be inserted correctly.

The printer has a black on/off button on the back. Make sure the button is in the "on" state (pressed in, not out).

If you can not find a solution, contact your Eventication account manager. We'll do some tests from our end.

The display doesn't show text

When you power the printer setup, it can take up to a minute before the display shows text. If after a couple of minutes no text has appeared, unplug the setup and plug it back in. If this problem continues, bring in a spare printer setup.

Notify your Eventication account manager about the issue so we do not invoice you 2 printers, and our technicians can fix the problem when they receive the printer back.
