FAQ

What is a "super moderator"?

A super moderator is the highest level of access in Eventication, you can think of it as God mode.

This role grants full control over your entire event, including the ability to edit and delete all data.

What happens if a moderator forgets their password?

If a moderator forgets their password, they can reset it by clicking the “Forgot password” link on the login page.

They will receive an email with instructions to create a new password.

Can I copy permissions from an existing moderator?

Yes, you can. Simply select the name of the existing moderator in the “Duplicate permissions from” field when adding a new moderator. This will automatically apply the same access settings.

Add a short description to each moderator (e.g. Check-In Crew, Team Lead, Stock Manager) to make it easier to identify the right person when copying access rights.

This helps you quickly find a similar role and apply the correct permissions.

Can I limit access to specific dates?

Yes, you can. You can set access dates to define when a moderator is allowed to log in.

When adding a new moderator — or editing an existing one — simply fill in the “Enable from” and “Enable until” fields.

If the moderator should have access at all times, just check the “Indefinite” box instead.

Is it possible to edit a moderator's access after inviting them?

Yes, you can edit a moderator’s access at any time. Simply go to the moderators section, click on the user’s name, and adjust their permissions, access dates, or role as needed.

Can a moderator invite other moderators?

Only super moderators can add or edit other moderators by default.

However, moderators with the permission Can edit event moderators enabled can also manage other moderators.

Will moderators receive an email when they're invited?

Yes, they will receive an email from the system with a link to create their account.

Once their account is created, they will automatically receive the correct permissions you assigned during the invitation.

Why can't I find the user by email when adding a moderator?

If the user doesn’t appear when you enter their email, it means they don’t have an Eventication account yet.

You can still invite them by clicking the “Invite” button, they’ll receive an email to create their account, and once completed, they’ll get the correct access rights.
